Please see below details on the training and media schedule for the West Indies team ahead of the start of the eighth edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia:

Sunday, 15 October: Captain Nicholas Pooran available to speak to the media via Zoom – 11am (8pm Saturday Eastern Caribbean Time/7pm Saturday Jamaica Time)

Sunday, 15 October: Training at Kingston Twins Oval – 2pm (11pm Saturday Eastern Caribbean/10pm Saturday Jamaica Time)

• Press conferences at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 will generally follow a hybrid model where apart from those attending in person, media persons will also be able to log on remotely via Zoom (as per details given above). Some media conferences may also be conducted remotely only via Zoom. Please ensure you are logged on five minutes prior to the start times of the press conferences.

 

MATCH SCHEDULE

First Round

Group A: Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands, and Namibia

Group B: Scotland, West Indies, Zimbabwe, and Ireland

(Top two teams from each group advance to Super 12s)

(matches played at Bellerive Oval, Hobart)

October 17: West Indies v Scotland – 3pm (12 midnight Eastern Caribbean/11pm Jamaica on October 16)

October 19: West Indies v Zimbabwe – 7pm (4am Eastern Caribbean/3am Jamaica)

October 21: West Indies v Ireland – 3pm (12 midnight Eastern Caribbean/11pm Jamaica on October 20)

Super 12s

Group 1: England, Australia, New Zealand, Afghanistan, A1 and B2.

Group 2: India, Pakistan, Pakistan, South Africa, A2 and B1.

(Top two teams from each group advance to the semi-finals)

SEMI-FINALS

November 9:  SCG, Sydney

November 10: Adelaide Oval, Adelaide

FINAL

November 13: MCG, Melbourne
